RWANDA GENOCIDE MEMORIAL VISIT ITINERERY.
Rwanda genocide memorial centers are places that were built and reserved to remember the innocent souls that were killed during the horrible massacres which took place in different years killing a thousands of people in Rwanda. There are more than two centers that tell the sad stories and you will read in the itinerary. We talk so much about this, we share a lot about it so that the world can learn from it and stop such horrible acts. We pray and grieve with the families in Rwanda and the country as a whole.
DAY 1: Arrival in Kigali and continue to the hotel for the day one night stay.
DAY 2: Have a relaxed and fresh breakfast up to 9:30am and then set off to Camp Kigali the Belgian genocide memorial Centre. This is located in Kigali city and it was set up to honor and remember the 10 UN peacekeepers that were killed on the first day of 1994 genocide. 10 pillars were builtwith some cut across each to indicate individual age for each of these Belgian soldiers who were killed from this spot. It is a lot to see,to know and touch while at is camp Kigali.
Visit to Kigali memorial center. This is the biggest memorial center in Rwanda and it is a few kilometers away from Kigali town. This site contains live genocide evidences of bodies and sad stories that take your breath away with cold feelings and frozen mind. Some things are better when left an told. Lunch at the same memorial site and then after the drive around Kigali town as we go back to the hotel for the 2nd night in kigali.
DAY 3: have a relaxed breakfast and at 9:00am we drive to Ntarama and Myamata genocide memorial centers: these are two different churches at which some of the worst massacres took place. Hundreds and thousands of people had run to these churches hopping for Holy Spirit protection since we all know that such places are always the most feared places by the devil. So these people thought the perpetuators would have feared doing what they did from these churches. Sadly it never happened to be the case.so many bodies are stored here as the evidence of what took place. Donations to keep the center alive are sometimes received here .Lunch and then continue trip
Visit to reconciliation village. After all these ugly scenes that took place in Rwanda, the government did all they could do to bring back hope and unity between the perpetuators and the survivors and this was done by creating one village in which the government built up homes for everyone, churches did a lot to teach these people on how to ask for forgiveness and how to forgive. The governments built policies that could implement unity among these and make them understand that they are one people and Rwanda. They place is called the reconciliation village.Derive back to the hotel for the 3rd night in kigali
DAY 4: Breakfast and the 9:00am Visit to Presidential museum where the aero plain in which the president was traveling and about to reach home but suddenly it was short down and landed at his ownhome(presidential home) and from this moment the genocide started with Belgians being killed at camp kigali. More to see and feel when at site...
The tour continues to Kigali campaign against genocide museumcenter. This is also located in town and it tells the whole sad story about the live genocide and genocide act, the perpetuators and survivors, and how the plan is going on to make sure genocide never happens again.
Drive to Kaplaki craft center and then to the hill for the city over view and photography.
Lunch at MEZE FRESH and then to the INEMA ART CENTRE FOR ENTERTAINMENT
Drive to the meeting center for final remarks
